You're not comparing apples to apples. The Pro is fantastic, if you want to pay 2-3 times the price, don't mind the size and weight and need the extra features such as hard drive, sampler, expansion slots, video outs, aftertouch, XLR inputs, lights! etc. The 2000 is a wonderful buy for the money. The speakers are loud enough to use as monitors, the styles and sounds are really good, it's easy to operate and you can carry it under one arm. As you know, I used to have a 9000 and now have a 2000. (long story). I wish I could afford both the 2000 and a Pro. Can't wait to see the successor to the Pro (10,000 Pro??) I estimate we'll see one next summer and will be able to buy one in about a year or so. DonM
