Hello people,

I'm still thinking about trading my KN7000 for Korg PA1X Pro. I'd like to convert some of the styles that I have on the KN7000 before I let it go. I know some of the original styles are available on the Korg website but these are some that have been programmed by myself.

Does anyone know what I need to do to make sure that I can convert them before I get the PA1X? Ideally I need to sell the KN7K first so I won't have the 2 of them at the same time.

As always help would be appreciated.

Thanks

David.

David , save the KN7000 styles to an external source..I am sure someone will be able and willing to convert the styles for you..

One of the problems with both of the boards you mentioned..The Technics conversions are limited to packets of 20 styles..and the Korg styles take up a lot of data space..Both are impossible to email because of the file sizes..

David, I recommend, if at all possible, keeping the KN7000 until you've successfully converted your 'must have' KN7000 styles over to the G70. I've found that converting them without the ability to A/B (switch back & forth between) hearing them on the KN7000 & the G70 not a good idea. I found relying solely on auto conversion programs like EMC StyleWorks alone, often produces disappointing results. I found both the auto accomp track voice assignments & track volumes to often be 'way off' from what's heard when playing the styles on the original keyboard (Technics), and that considerable tweaking is necessary to approach the sound of the original style intended. IMO, Having the KN7000 to compare will really makes a big difference in achieving best results. - Scott
