A friend of mine is impressed with the VA 7 and wanted to know if it's a current model still and if it will still be around in six months as he's just started a new job and wanted to be sure as he's going to be on six months probation and wanted to know what differences in sounds were to G70

The VA7 is no long produced, but that's no reason not to buy it if your friend likes what it does. You should still be able to find the odd dealer with a new one in stock or find a good used model. At the right price it's a very good keyboard.
The G70 is the VA's replacement at the present time.
