Im having a weird problem when I play the g1000. The original/variation styles & lights change by themselves when I'm playing, I thought it was a power cord problem, but sometimes in the middle of a song it changes back and forth ....very Annoying!!!! It seems like some kind of blitch or maybe a electrical short? Also when this starts to happen which is intermittent if I juggle the power cord up/down the red/green lights will jump back and forth also...but sometimes it doesnt happen at all..

Confused and frustrated

any help/suggestions is appreciated

thanx

Donny nj

It may be the cord... Sounds like it's not getting enough juice at times.. Again it could also be OS related too.

You mean they change when you are striking/bumping the keyboard? Which might suggest a lose connection, or bad ground, etc.

Or they are randomly changing with no input from you altogether which might suggest a software/hardware glitch.(?)

Can you do a reset on the board, spin a wheel or hold down some buttons while powering up or something like that?

Good luck.

Hello Donny,

I think you enabled channel aftertouch to the arranger.
Just check F2 (param), F3 (ctrl).
If parameter is 12 (arranger) you'll see a value f.i. O/V or B/A.

Turn it off and the problem is fixed.

Sounds like a power cord connection problem--not software. I'll bring my test equipment with me next week and check it out for you. Unfortunately, power connections, especially those that use low-voltage power packs, use light wires and junk connectors. They wear quickly and frequently have to be replaced.

Good Luck,

Gary

My E-500OR does the excat same thing too. I'm not the only one with this problem either. I tought the keyboard lost the beat or something that's why it does it ever now and then but I'm not the only one it seems.

I just performed a number of gigs....and I had none of the problems stated above on my G1000. But...I think it was a power cord problem because now I stabilize the cord by tieing it to the X stand so it stays firm in the socket instead of hanging down loose giving it a secure connection. So far no problems....we'll see!

Anyway just use another powercord if you want to be sure.

Good luck.

I pretty sure 98% at this time that it was the power cord causing the problem.....so far it's working ok for now.
A little more detective work and I'll know for sure.
