Alright so I am pretty new to synths and keyboards but heres the rundown. I want something that I can use in my rock band and something that I can create my own music without any other members. I am going for sounds like nine inch nails, goldfrapp, and even eisbrecher. Now there is a PSR E403 for 399 in a local store but I have not been able to find out what it is capable of. I did see a showreel on the MM6 on youtube and was kinda liking what I saw. But I was wondering what you guys would suggest since you have more experience than me?

From listening to (reading) you, I personally think the mm6 would suit your bands type of music better. I do not know if your solo work would follow the same line but I'm guessing it would.
But my best suggestion is for you to try to audition both kboards in person and then decide.
