I am looking for a small and rugged,
passive stereo volume volume. I recently
purchase a Boss FV-50L and it takes the pedal path to about 1/4 of the way to hear a change in volume(and it is an abrupt and
not gradual change).
Has anyone ever heard or had any experience
with George Dennis pedal model GD-10?
I need a pedal no larger than 4" wide and 8" long. I would appreciate any suggestions?

Is this for a MIDI keyboard? I have found that MIDI continuos controller (CC) pedals work better at controlling volume than passive volume pedals, which usually work by shunting the audio signal to the ground via a potentiometer and are subject to "dirty pot" syndromes. MIDI CC pedals can control the volume (CC#7) or expression (CC#11) smoothly. See if your keyboard has an input for a CC pedal and try that.

Your current volume pedal may work better if you get some color tv tuner cleaner from Radio Shack and spray it into the pot.

Rolls corporation makes a volume/CC pedal which is small and made of metal which sells for around $49.00 and works great. I am not at my store now and I don't remember the exact model number. It can be used as an inline stereo volume pedal or if you have a controler plug you can use it in this manner as well.
