I need some help about Storing stylepresets in Userfamilie.
I loaded all te userstyles in the user-area of the XP. Now I want to make some
adjustments in the styles and save them as Stylepresets.
So far so good for User-familie 1 to 4.
But my XP won't store Stylepresets in Userfamilie 5 to 8.
I can't select User 5,6,7 or 8 in the 'Store-Page'.
Also in play-mode the display shows strange names for Userstyle-familie 5 to 8.
Userfamilie 5 shows name 'Solo'.
Userfamilie 6 shows name 'Full-WK'.
Userfamilie 7 shows name 'Upper/Lower'.
Userfamilie 8 shows name 'Multi-WH'.
Any helps?
Thanks very much, Regards, Rudi.
Hi Rudi,
I think I know what is happening here. Apparently some of the styles you have loaded originated on the WK series instruments.
What I would like you to try is once you have selected one of these Styles and chosen one of its Style Presets, press any one of the Keyboard Mode buttons, I.e. FULL, BASS SPLIT, etc. and then re-select the ACCOMP SPLIT Mode button (or whatever accompaniment mode you are using). This should make things work normally.
EXPLAINATION: The WK series only allowed for two sounds to be layered on the right hand of the keyboard. The Genesys allows for up to six sounds to be layered. This fact can make the scenario you described appear.
NOTE: This is not a problem, but is actually supposed to happen. People that traded up to a Genesys series instrument from a WK series instrument can load their old styles into the Genesys and have the same keyboard mode displayed that they are accustomed to seeing from their WK series. If they want to
convert the keyboard mode to that of the Genesys, all that is necessary is to do the little trick I explained above.
Please let me know if this takes care of the situation.
Best Regards,
Dave
