I found one in Trenton NJ. Not sure about the deal, but it's brand new, on the showroom floor. I'm tempted to sell the Tyros and snag it for myself, but the Ty has 3 times the ammount of drum patterns in it. That might make it more valuable to me in the studio.

Just wanted to give you all a heads up, cause I know they are hard to find in the shops, these days !

Ask for Mrs Russo and tell her that Dave Boyd sent you !

You could load every Tyros style into the 9k pro hard drive and have the best of both worlds !

I think Dave should have 1 keyboard of each at all times. He would always have the best keyboard!!!

Don,
I am afraid that they just don't sound the same, due to the darn megavoices.

I am seriously considering selling my 9000pro and getting the Tyros! Determined this time tho not to go the trade in route as my dealer makes way to much out of it for my liking whilst I lose a bundle every time!

Considering putting it up on ebay soon but if anyone is desperate for one anytime soon give me a shout. A1 condition with lights and still got orig box and manuals reciepts etc. Less than twelve months old.

All the best
Tony W

Hi Donny,
I thought the electrics were different over here to over there?... Or is that just the plug end and not the keyboard?

Also if my board emigrated do you think it would have a british accent

Best to you
Tony

My dealer friend (Mrs Russo) has a 9kPRO, not the Tyros, Sk-user. I actually might keep this Ty around for a while because the styles are so good. It sounds like I always wanted the Ketron and Korg to sound. Great tone, but they both had too busy patterns. The Yamaha programmers did a better job at making the patterns more universal without loosing their "sizzle".
I might be over the Pro fetish....who knows. I still like playing the keys on the Pro better. The Ty is only slightly better than the 2100. They keys are actually the same, just more spring resistance and a cushy bottom.

(Who DOESN'T like a cushy bottom??? )
