My friend desperately wants the applause sound he had on his g1000 called "small club" to play on either his t2 or triton le. So wud it work. Do the sc88pro sounds come from the g1000. Any help appreciated

Hmmm, I think it's a little bit more complicated: you have to send from the Tyros to the SC88Pro the right cc0/cc32/pc on midi ch. 10 to select a drum kit containing the "Small Club" applause or send cc0=7, cc32=3, pc=127 on midi ch. other than 10 to select the "Small Club" patch. Sorry, I don't know how to let Tyros do this.
The small club applause was available as an SFX kit.
However, if this is the ONLY thing he needs, why not sample it, and use it in the T2's sampler?
If he is prepared to learn how to get the T2's style and keyboard voices to address the Sc88Pro, there are many good voices and kits in there to mix and match (I wish there was a module T2 to add to my G70!). But if the applause is it, sample it!

For speed of loading, I wouldn't bother with 16/44 stereo .wav.... Try stereo 16/22 if the T2 supports it, or mono if you use a mono PA. The trick is to find a good loop. If I remember rightly, the small club was a couple of independent loops (applause and yells and whistles) that never sounded the same. Best of luck making one loop work!

Hi Rolandfan, the applause sound is available in the psr1500 ( so probably in the T2 as well) as part of the gm/xg drumkits in "sound effects" folder. Easist way might be to create a multipad for the applause sound. Then he could use it with any style he wants. Just hit the pad & he has applause. Get him to check the onboard pads , just in case applause is already available. There isn't one on my 1500, but the T2 has many more pads. First up ,get him to check if his T2 has this sound in the sound effect folder.
Midiing a soundmodule to a psr is fairly complicated. The midi is not brilliant on my psr1500 & I doubt it would be much different ( if at all ) on the T2. best wishes Rikki
p.s. I whipped up an applause multipad. Works on my PSR1500, so should work on T2?? If he wants to give it a try email me @ rikkisbears@hotmail.com and let me know where to send it. email me [QUOTE]Originally posted by rolandfan: [B]

Not only; it is available also in other drum kits. Anyway, I agree with you that it could be easier just to sample it and use it as wav in T2, even if, as you say, could it be not so easy to loop it well.
@rikkisbears: Of course Yamaha gm/xg sound sets include the applause, but I think that Rolandfan's friend needs exactly that kind of applause called "Small Club" in Roland instruments.
Hi 03bor, that's a pity. Psr's aren't terrific with midi and external modules. I have a ketron sd2 module midied to mine. In my case the module has to play all the style parts or none. At least an sc88 has mute buttons?? to mute unwanted tracks. Wondering on how you'd trigger the applause though if not thru a multipad?
best wishes Rikki
