Finally found the 'generalmusic.ins' file that contains WK6/WK8 registers.
http://www.musicmediasoft.com/eng/update/cakewalk/index.htm

Maybe some of you knew this but from some of the posts I read this morning, it appeared that some did not. Anyway, I'm excited. I'm not much of a music 'creator' but I do enjoy finding good midi sequences (lot of good .kar files popping up too) and making them even better with my WK8 sounds. I'm currently working on "Smokin'" by Boston. Found a real nice .kar version, renamed it to be a .mid, open it up in CalkWalk 9, change the guitars to 'LeadDist 3' or 'Crunchstab' (both are great lead guitar sounds), add the lyrics...awesome sound! About every 3 months I haul my 'stuff' out to the garage, the neighbors come over (some musicians) and we play and sing for hours. Can't wait to see their faces when I start playing "Smokin'"!

Hi sk880user. I renamed the file with a .txt extension and open it it in wordpad. I wonder if you could do the same and then cut and paste the info for the sk880 into the appropriate format for cubase to read. Just a thought.
