Simon,
Wow! After listening to every demo at least 1x.....the news keeps getting better about the Tyros. This to me is the best sounding board I have ever heard and the styles are superb. I'm going to love owning one of these.
Thanks for posting the link.

Terry

Yep, I now have approximately 100MB+ of tyros mp3 demofiles and songs. If Yamaha don't mind, I would like to offer these on audio cd to anyone who has difficulties in downloading such huge amounts of data, as I can download them on a T1 connection. If the yamaha folk give me the go-ahead, I can put something together with just a small charge for p&p and handling.

Regards
Simon

They sound good of course, but are they THAT much different from the 2000-9000? Also, where they made in real time or totally sequenced? I'm not trying to be negative, but it's really hard to judge a keyboard from demos.
Looking forward to hearing it live though.

Don: The Mega Voices (bass & guitars samples) sound AMAZING and are a huge advancement compared to the same sounds on the PSR2000-9000. Listen to equivilent non- Mega Voice samples to experience the dramatic difference.

Check out these Tyros Demos: http://www.roncat.net/tyros/
These appear (to me) to be recorded in real time, and totally are exposed (with indiviual sound only) with no auto accompaniment or other parts to mask possible deficiencies.

I agree with you that demos aren't the 'end all' to a keyboard purchase decision, but I'm quickly becoming convinced that the Tyros is going to be a BIG WINNER ! Can't wait to get my hands on one to check this out in person.
