What a let down...sigh...
There is no way on God's green earth that I could allow myself to fork over $3500 + for this 62 note Polyphony Arranger! Even if it does have a gazillion other features and fantastic sounds. Korg dropped the Ball big time with this gaffe imo. Question: Why would I give up or trade in or better yet "trade down" my PSR 2000 to the Pa1-X when my PSR 2000 has MORE polyphony than this new generation supposed hifalutin Arranger has? Talk about a super let down..
Bill E, forget about playing the Pa1-X. And don't even think about taking Headphones with you on Sunday unless it is to play some other Arranger.
The wind in my sails has just been stilled and vacated regarding the Korg Pa1-X/Pro. But I will still endeavour in my search for that personal wish list Professional Arranger Keyboard. My ship has not arrived yet, but it's out there in the minds and hearts and vision of one or more of the several Arranger Keyboard Manufacturers. At least I'm hoping that it is.
It may take a year or maybe even 10 years but that's okay. 1 year or less would be preferred though.
Best regards,
Mike
PS: The above sentiments are my own personal feelings regarding the Korg Pa1-X and are not meant to influence or sway other people's decisions regarding their possible purchase of it. The Pa1-X may be MORE than suitable for what they want, need, and require in an Arranger Keyboard and the Polyphony or lack thereof may be unimportant to them and a non-issue for their style of playing. Also please note that Korg may have optimized the Pa1-X/Pro's Polyphony by utilizing and routing it in an extremely efficient manner so note drop off could be a rare occurence and few and far in between even in the most complex of song arrangements and playing styles. But of course that has yet to be determined.
