In my previous posts i complained a Lot against The Korg Pa80 That i sent back to change for a psr9000.
I wanted to say my first impressions:

After 2 weeks, i am ready to do everything i did on my old Korg I5S i owned 3 years before getting the Pa80.

What a relief to use the psr9000!
It has huge possibilities like :
Each track of the ACC. have Eq(high,low),Reverb, Pan,Chorus, Volume, Filters(Harmonics, Brightness),DSP, and you even get a Parametric Eq with 5 bands as a general mixer!

Man you can make your style really shines !
You can create your custom voices in a second and store them. (32 places)

So easy to sequence what you play, to store it on a floppy disk ...

To be honest, i will miss the fantastic Pads of Korg, so powerfull and heavy (what that means?) cause the one of psr9000 seem very weak in comparison.(to my ears)

I have the PA-80 and Iamalso thinking of trading up to a 9000pro,

what do you think I'll miss or gain

As i said it before, i will miss the gorgeous
Pads of Korg.About sounds that's all to my ears.

I noticed sometimes you are limited by the 64 polyphonie of the pa80, the bass voice was a bit truncated when i played with accomp,didn't notice that on psr9000 which has 126 polyphonie.
You will GAIN a lot about tweaking voices with the mixer(high, low),dsp, reverbs...
AND all these possibilities are very fast to understand.
The choice of Fills is much more useful than pa80 where you have to choose the progression of the Fills while in psr9000 you can go up or down from variation 1 to 4, make a break, stay in the same variation.
You have 3 Intros and Endings, Fade in and out even when you do a sequence with what you play...
AND you can store so much things like your proper custom voices, styles ...SO EASILY !

AAANNNDDD.

I DO NOT REGRET MY PSR 9000 !

I think you are very UNWISE to trade in the Korg for the 9000.
Instead I would advise you to hang on to the Korg and get the PSR2000 on top, you would probably spend the same amount of money on exchanging it for the 9000.
Note that KOrg is coming out with a substantial improved new operating system,
3.0 within a couple of weeks......
have you also downloaded the Performance SEt that I have made from the official KorgPA80
site ??

Glad you like your PSR9000. I loved mine so much that I upgraded to the 9000PRO as soon as it was released. What makes the PSR9000 and 9000PRO great is that you have ALL of the HIGH END FEATURES combined with EASE OF USE. The 9000 series keyboards are so intuitive that you almost never need the manual. I love it's Sweet Voices and Cool Voices but I especially love the physically sampled ORGAN sounds that ONLY Yamaha 9000 has.

Don't be afraid of upgrading to the PSR9000 or 9000PRO. I haven't seen ONE person regret buying them. You'll be happy. If you wait until the Yamaha 10KPRO comes out, then you can buy my 9000PRO at a discount price (not a mark on it, it's NEW).

O.S. 3 for PA-80 will sure change everything from what I have heard (from very reliable sources) The PA-80 will be reborn after o.s. 3.
