Hi All!
I have a PSR 2100 and just yesterday I bent towards the speakers and noticed a slight hiss coming from them. Is this normal? It comes even if the volume is fully down...!
Thanx

We've had this question before in respect of the 2000. I dont remember that an absolute answer was reached, more like "if it's really bad then you may have a faulty unit" but the definition of "really bad" can be very subjective. Only real test could be "find another an listen to that"!

Certainly my 2000 has an audible hiss if you get close to the speakers, but you can only hear in it a low noise environment. This has not proved a worry to me and I dont notice any hiss on the jack or phono outputs, even through my PA. I have used the phono outputs for (limited) recording via my PC (pantomime music! Audigy soundcard) and the resulting CD sounds very clean.
