Dear Friends,

I am unable to use a mic along with my new PSR-2000 Keyboard. I tried all the steps mentioned in the manual.

Have I left out anything else ?

Anyone has faced similar problems ?

Please help.

Thanks & Regards,
Govinda Padaki

Make sure:

1. Mic is on
2. Mic/cable work
3. Mic is plugged into correct input
4. Mic gain knob is set above zero
5. When you press MIC SETTING, make sure that MIC MUTE is not set to ON(Lower right hand corner).
If you have followed all of these steps and you still don't have sound, then you have a broken PSR2000.

Maybe the compressor is set to high in the effects section and you need to send a really loud signal to open the filter?
Turn OFF the compressor to see if this is part of the problem. Compressors are every bit as much "pain" as they are "gain". Very tricky to get the perfect effect.
