Hi there!
I have a problem with setting for lower track (for left hand) on my synth. I'd like to set that the synth keep in memory (in style play mode) the chord and the lower notes played by left hand. I press preferences-style setup and set the memory to chord + lower. (default is chord). I write these settings to global. But when I turn synth off and then on again It's the same setting (just chord). Does anybody know what could be wrong?

Another ???: Is it possible to install Mp3 expansion board on OS V1.5? I read in instructions that insatlation can be done just on V1.51? What is the difference? Thanks for answers and have a nice day!

Igor

Hello Igor,

The Memory setting is not saved to the Global, but to the Performance or STS. Each of them has its own Memory setting.
You can "lock" (i.e., "freeze") your setting by closing the small lock icon next to the Memory parameter in the Style Play > Preferences > Style Preferences page. You can do the same from the Lock page in the Global (Style Preferences lock).

Concerning your question about the MP3: frankly, I don't remember, but why would you still use such an obsolete OS? Version 2.5.0 has been out for over a month, and 2.5.1 is on the way. They are free, they are more powerful. Just download (www.korgpa.com) and install them.

Best regards,
Paolo

Hi Paolo! Thanks for Your info about low track memory. It works now!

About my old OS... honestly said I'am not sure If I can install new OS. I'am a little bit afraid to make damage on my synth....;-)).

Another question for You. Is It possible to get user manual (not pdf file but real paper version - book) for Pa1x Pro in English language? I just have in German and I don't understand a lot of things. With my synth I get a small paper from Korg Italy...

Really thanks for Your time and answers.

Hmmm,
The left chord mode is saved on Performance and STS? Interesting.
On the Pa80 it is only saved in Global.
That's a discrete but nice and helpful improvement on the Pa1x over the Pa80.
Paolo, can a performance have its own microphone setting too on the Pa1x?
Thanks

Hi strojnik,
Donīt afraid to install the new OS 2.5. Since July/2004, I inslalled several OS version, and so far I have no problems. You just backup the user data and follow the instructions from Korg.
