Heh, heh. Polk speakers, you know?
I tried out a P70 at GC, and it really blasts out some fine sound for 2 x 6W x 12cm x 6cm speakers. According to Yamaha, "Yamahas integrated speaker system makes bulky powered speakers a thing of the past. The P Series uses highly efficient amplifiers that pack more sound into a lighter digital piano. With 6 watts per channel, these keyboards are ready to go whenever you are." They ain't lyin. You could fill a small hall or accompany an unmic'd choir with this.
But no line in! I was thinking, with the limited sounds on the P70, how great would it be to be able to cart along an XV-2020!? Then you'd have a great, flexible system, at 31.8 lbs. and no need for an amp! But for the lack of a line IN connector.
But then it dawned on me: Maybe the amp/speaker innovation in the P70 would sound terrible with sounds other than what's onboard. I'm certainly no sound engineer. Does my theory make any sense?
