If the S900 has a similar build "quality" as the S500 we are all in for a 'heap of trouble' as they say. I played the S500 at GC recently and I have to be honest and say I am really disappointed with it. Not necessarily disappointed with the sounds per se but the build quality in my opinion is lacking.
We can only hope that the S900 doesn't share the same lack of build quality and feel as the S500 does. OTOH, I wouldn't get the S900 anyway because it only has 61 keys and I want 76 keys preferrably.
My next option looks like the Ketron Audya. But I may be in for a long wait.
But if Larry is having multiple problems with his PSR 3000's over a 3 year span I can only imagine what the S900 (if it indeed has an inferior build quality similar in my opinion to what the S500 has) with possible S900 owners in for a long and scary rollercoaster ride in terms of product reliability and its roadworthiness. Let's hope my concerns regarding the S900 are all unfounded and false. Especially when it comes to all you S900 prospective buyers out there.
You would think since the S500 is on the lower end of the scale and the S900 is in the mid range that it would not suffer from such a fate. Although looking at the PSR 3000 issues that Larry is having one can only wonder.
Best,
Mike
