type in "S-900" in the search box and it will come up...

I cannot see many new styles that are not in the T2?

I am very curious about the 2 Ibiza styles. Ibiza 1 and Ibiza 2, hope they are different to Ibiza 2002 and Ibiza 2004...

Cheers,
Nick

Thanks for the link, Nick.

It looks like they kept all the useful SA voices like the Guitars (especially the SA Pedal Steel), Saxes and Trumpet/brass and ditched the SA strings...no great loss IMO.

The styles are pretty well Tyros2 copies.

Not bad, very nearly a mini T2, and the Audio to USB is pretty cool, although I don't think you can overdub like on the Tyros2...but, still pretty impressive for the price.

This thing will sell like mad!

I can't wait till mine arrives.

Ian

The S900 was at the Blackpool Festival http://www.synthzone.com/ubbs/Forum37/HTML/015507.html
It’s a cracking board with the characteristic sound of the Tyros 2, but it is NOT a mini Tyros 2, however at its price point I can’t see anything to touch it.

Glad to see that this is posted.

I don't see hardly any new styles. Will we have to wait until Tyros III comes for the next big batch? Or maybe the next CVP model.

I was disappointed by the lack of flash memory: 1.4mb, which I think is less than the PSR3000.

I will have fun, however, playing with these new voices.

I am seriously considering one of these. It will be my first arranger, apart from toy deals with 16 different beats to pick from like I had as a kid. But I have a few questions.

I noticed that on some of the Tyros2 demos, there were organ sounds that finally introduced the feature of the percussion not sounding until you totally lifted up on all keys, so you could do better legatto phrasing without the percussion sounding. Was this some kind of super articulation organ that is not on the 900, or is this organ not an SA voice and will be on the 900?

Same question with accordions. I heard some demos of super accordions, where you could actually hear the bass notes of the left hand and play them. Is this voice included on the 900?

Either way, I'm pretty sure I will own a 900, but I'd sure like those voices on there.

Unless I'm reading it wrong, I think I struck out on both.
I was reading through the Tyros2 data list, and I saw a few super articulation organs. I also saw some accordion sounds specifically listed as with bass. I don't see those on the 900. Bummer. Oh well, there's bound to be some compromises.

I am quite positive these Bass accordion voices are just 2 voices layered an octave apart... this can be achieved on the 3k and S900...
