Hijacking the thread he asks, "Does anyone have the chords for "Summertime"?"
It's -30C (-22F) with the windchill in Toronto. For some strange reason, I was singing "Summertime" in the shower. Seriously. I think it's by Gershwin.
Summertime, and the living is easy. Fish are jumping...etc.
Starkeeper
I would suspect that Scott Yee has the chords for this. It can be a very "jazzy" song.

Starkeeper, The chords are fairly simple, but I don't have them in front of me ... what you REALLY want are the substitution chords Scott and some of the other pros here might use ...

I keep the chords fairly simple as well, but merely include the 7th and add appropriate chord extensions (9th, 11th, 13th) & tensions (b9, b5, #11, etc) and/or play tri-tone chord substitutions as deemed fit. Never play it exactly the same way twice, but here are the basic changes (more or less) that I typically use when played in a bluesy style. I typcially use the Tyros "6-8 Blues"styles for this one:

|Fm7-C9|Fm7-C9|Fm7-C9|Fm7-C9|
|Bbm7-Db|Bbm/Db-Ddim|C7-G7|C7|
|Fm7-C9|Fm7-C9|Fm7-C9|Fm9-Bb9|
|Ab-Fm|Bb/Bb7-C7|Fm|C7|

This song lends itself to some interesting 'left hand' rootless piano chord voicing possibilities such as:

E1-Bb1-D2: C9
D1-Ab1-C2: Bb9
Db1-Ab1-C2:Bbm9

Be sure to assign the left voice to piano or other appropriate instrument sound.

Scott

Hi.
Summertime is a beautifull song, and I still prefer the movie version. I don't yet play it on the psr3000, because I have to figure out how to do this. But I played it on the accordeon and used the chords as in the movie version.
After the intro I play: Cm6 G7/Cm6 G7/ etc. (leading notes in the chord are a b/a b/) Then the melody starts ("summertime, and the livin' is easy". "fish are...) then Fm7 where the bass becomes important after "... jumping" and plays (notes: F G G# A# B C), but I think this is hard on an arranger keyboard using a style. Lyrics: "and the cotton.." I use F#dim7 there "... is high". G7 - Now there you can play a little by changing to G#7 and back to G7. (G#7 is very nice because you sing a d-note, which makes it actually a G#7#11. In the movieversion there is a beautifull melody there.(Can't remember what other chords I can use there).
If you come back to "summertime", you can use C#7b5, (while singing "summer...") and back to Cm6 ("..time).
Scott, you play a different key, but where you go back to "summertime" you use C7, try this: C7-G7/C7-F#7b5/ etc.

The rest I don't know without actually playing and it's late so I go to sleep. Just see what you can do with these chords.

actually nobody has got it in its written key of Am, a minor 7th as the first chord is unusual to say the least it must be Fm6 to C7, or in the proper key Am6 to E7, with the important movement between the 6th of the Am6 and the 3rd of the E7, ie: F# to G#, as a kind of countermelody.

Sorry, Firehead, I don't know "Love, Look What You've Done To Me" by Bozz Scaggs.
I don't understand why your request was hijacked and not another thread was used for summertime.

Yes, that's what I said, only I play it Cm6 and G7, so the important notes are A to B.
To play it in the written key is a matter of opinion and the range of someones voice.
I tried it on the arranger keyboard and with 61 keys I find Am6 to E7 not very handy. Try Cm6 to G7 with the notes A en B on top... very nice.
Also the chords I mentioned G7 to C#7b5 to Cm6. If you try to do this on a 61 keys keyboard in the key you suggests, it should be: E7 to Bb7b5 to Am6. With 61 keys and the style range between C1 en F#2 (splitpoint) that's not easy.
I stick to Cm6 G7 etc.
