i don t have the keyboard right now with me - i'am away from home right now - but i can tell you, i am pretty happy with the organ sounds on pa50. some jazz organs sounds are awesome! and even if some other are a little bit pour, still, having so many to choose from, you can find easily something you like! go on with pa50, is a little sweet instrument that won't let you down, no matter what styles or sounds are you after!

The PA-50 has some pretty good organ sounds, Most performances and OTS organ presets have a leslie effect preconfigured (You can use the joystick to switch between slow and fast). For its price, The PA-50 is unbeatable, Nor the PSR-1500 or the EXR's compare IMHO. It has some really good voices in each category, some don't like the piano that much, its a little bright/harsh sounding. I personally prefer Korg's styles above any other brand, the styles are generally very contemporary sounding, and are also a lot longer and more varied than Yamaha's (Korg's styles are generally 8 to 16 measures long, Most Yamaha styles aren't longer than 4). But let your own ears be the judge, We all have different tastes. Greetz , Marcel

I'd say they did a pretty fair job on the PA80, and I believe the voices are the same between the PA80 and PA50. This is one group of sounds that I thought the older Yamaha arrangers I had owned or had played fell just a little short. That in itself is a little surprising to me, as the organs on the Motif ES sound very good to me, especially the C3 voice, but there are no drawbars....
Of all things, by far the Casio MZ2000 had my favorite arranger Hammond sounds, along with mechanical ( real ) sliders to control the drawbars. It was one of the big selling points. I turned it on while visiting a music store in NYC, and started playing some of the organ parts from ELP's KarnEvil 9 on it, and I was very surprised by the sound that was coming out. Unfortunately many of the styles weren't all that good on it.
I'm in the group that doesn't care for the PA series pianos btw. Yuck!!! ( for me anyway ..lol ). I don't like the electrics much better either. I do still like many of the styles, and the PA80 feels and sounds nice for ripping out a nice organ solo.
