It could be a chorus but I'll call it a bridge. Suffice to say, any significant "change" in the chord progression of the song.

One that always jumped out at me is Buddy Holly's song, "True Love Ways." I don't know enough theory to describe what happens but all I know is when it hits that bridge...

Those true love ways
Will bring us joys to share
With those who really care

...that, to me, is about as good as it gets. If I'm playing it A-C#m-D-E7, it goes to F at the bridge.

The Beatles also have some unusual progressions that are really cool.

I see noone replied to this. I also like True Love Ways and it does have a nice bridge. Another simple song with a similar bridge change is True Love (coincidental title) by Cole Porter sung by Bing Crosby and Grace Kelly.
You mentioned the Beatles. I like the bridge change in Paul McCartney's Beautiful Night. It took me a little while to get that right. Lots of others, of course.

One of my favorites is "Just Once" produced by Quincy Jones in the early 80's (don't remember the name of the male singer). Neat bridge combined with a modulation.
