This is the 1gb version of the 512mb drive described in my earlier post. http://www.synthzone.com/ubbs/Forum37/HTML/013834.html
Formatting the drive removes privacy software (i.e. password protection and data encryption), making it a normal flash drive.

NOTE: There are 2 rebates totalling $36 ($30+$6). The $30 rebate requires registering for a 1 month trial of a certain service, which ends up being FREE IF CANCELLED at any time during the trial period. Rebate is yours to keep. http://ak.buy.com/buy_assets/retail/pdfs/06Q1/0316-1231ml_privacydrive.pdf

Charles,
Did you notice that you have to agree to a 30-day free trial of the PrivacyGuard credit reporting service. Need to notify them before the 30 days that you don't want the service, otherwise it will cost $12.95/month.

BUMMER!
I was already calculating that if I bought 250, after rebates received, I could go out a pay cash for a Bose PAS system.

Yes, I modified my first post to include that info.

Thanks
