Well ...I sold a Pre owned Steinway "S" today . I must say that my transition from Guitar Center to a Piano store is a pleasant change .
Being able to play a real piano is a treat and helps the chops !

Things work out in some sort of way ! A higher power ? I think so ! dano

This is exactly why I could never own a music store! I would never have been able to part with the Steinway, not even if I had three in stock!

I know UD has said in the past that he rarely gets sentimental over his gear but mine are like my babies! I would have kept them all if I could have got away with it!

My dream is to own a Steinway and a house big enough to put it in! Bet I won't be satisfied when I get it though!

btw Dan I wish you every success with your new store.

Congrats DanO1.

Tony,
I understand what you say. Besides being a 3rd generation pack rat (that doesn't like to throw anything away) I have a Kawai upright which has a beautiful sound and my current PS55. I now have a PSR2000 on the way. I will need room for the new keyboard. My Mom has a baby grand Knabe with an Ampico player mechanism. I rebuilt the player part of it years ago. It is in her will that I get it and my wife doesn't understand what I would need with all those keyboards. She thinks I should get rid of one when I get a new one. I was thinking if I had one on each floor no matter where I was in the house I could just sit down and play.

Scottyee,
I built my own house (physically) so I designed in an area for music. I'm still building but something to think about.
