I want to try putting together a CD with about 14 songs on it, and I've got some questions about recording techniques. I could use the T2 harddrive (which I don't have yet) and then transfer the completed songs into my Dell desktop computer as MP3 files. Maybe another approach is using PowerTracs or something like that so I can use more than two tracks and then mix them down. Question one. . .is there really any advantage to spending money for a new soundcard (the one in the Dell seems to be okay using Goldwave software for recording)? Question two. . .would it be worth spending money for a new mic (my present one is an EV767) especially for recording? I know a lot of this is subjective and a matter or personal taste, but maybe someone's got a tip or two for making a CD with the T2. Thanks, DerfM

Derf ... If you're going to record a CD, I would definitely use some kind of software and record more than 2 tracks ... I and some others around here use Acid Pro (different versions) and it works well ...While some here can give you advice on the mic, it is still a personal choice, depending on your voice, etc. and how YOU want it to sound ... A good sound card AND good speakers will help you in the process ... As to advice on the best way to use the Ty2 to record, you will have to rely on the Ty players for that ...
