Hi all,
I'm looking forward to checking out the new "VoicePrism PLUS" Human Voice Processor from TC Helicon out at the NAMM show.
Found the the following NAMM news on today's EQ Online's New's website:
http://www.eqmag.com/news.shtml TC-Helicon (NAMM booth #6844) is showing its' new VoicePrism Plus Human Voice Modeling|Formant Processor, a full solution vocal processor for stage and studio - featuring the world's first professional implementation of Voice Modeling technology. Voice Modeling is essentially realtime resynthesis and reshaping of the human voice. It offers a variety of ways in which to process the vocal input, including the ability to add breath, growl, rasp, head and chest resonance, inflection or vibrato.
"Voice Modeling is a revolutionary new tool which offers detailed craft and creative control over vocals far beyond anything anyone has ever heard or been able to accomplish before," notes Ed Simeone. "From simple vocal enhancement to radical transformation of the singing voice into an entirely different timbral character, the technology in these products represents a momentous breakthrough for the audio industry worldwide - this will significantly impact the way vocals are performed and recorded, long into the future."
The new VoicePrism Plus Human Voice Modeling|Formant Processor, provides Voice Modeling features for the lead vocal channel, as previously described, as well as a full range of effects, harmony and backing channel vocal processing under preset control for subtle to extreme vocal processing.
The VoicePrism Plus provides the ability to go directly from a phantom powered mic into its high quality 48V mic preamp to access any of the onboard processes including - compression, gating, dual fully parametric EQ, 4-voice harmony (with individually adjustable gender controls and humanizing parameters), lead voice Human Voice Modeling, 2 separate post-effects blocks (incl. Chorus/flange, delay and reverb with predelay), effects and harmony libraries, preset browser with context sensitive help menus, or even audition sampled human voices for preset previewing. Inputs and outputs include 1/4-inch analog, 24 bit AES/EBU and S/PDIF digital I/Os.
TC-Helicon is also showing their new VoiceCraft Voice Modeling Card, a new upgrade card for the company's debut live and recording vocal processor, the VoicePrism. VoiceCraft adds the additional DSP power, algorithms, Voice Modeling technology and hardware compliment to the processor as a path for VoicePrism owners to upgrade to the equivalent of a VoicePrism Plus.
