Hi all, After many weeks i finally received a replacement Tyros for a bad one. I seem to have forgotten how to save the splitpoint when turning on the keyboard. I have a hardrive installed with lots of registrations saved and some times the split is B2 and sometime it comes up at the Tyros default F#2. Anyone know what i'm doing wrong?. Thanks, Bob

Check the Parameter Freeze box, under Utilities. If you have the split-point box checked, then registration changes won't affect it.
If you want to save split points to registration, be sure the box that pops up when you save to registration has the split-point box checked.

Hi Bob, I concur and have also noticed something similar to you (on rare occasion) regarding 'what' default split point setting comes up on initial Tyros bootup. On first observation it seems that the default split point is what you had it set at right before shutdown, but upon testing I notice that this is not always the case. Because of this, I just save my prefered split point (F#2) into my custom 'default' Registration Bank file which I always remember to load up immediately after turning on the keyboard. The split point setting is stored in the 'voice' group section of 'Registration Memory Contents'. Make sure its check box is checked marked when storing into Registration Memory. - Scott
