Hi...am considering purchasing the Logitech Z2200 for HOME USE only for my Yamaha PSR2000 and/or Casio WK3500. Would appreciate any comments regarding sound quality, etc. I seem to recall some comments about the bass of these speakers, but don't recall the specifics. Any responses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance...Bruce

Thanks everyone for your comments. They were most helpful. Just ordered it from Amazon.com...$50 rebate still good. Really appreciate all the help....Regards...Bruce

Bruce,

There are many of us on the forum who are using these speakers. I think they are outstanding in the price/performance ratio. I use them for practice at home and small jobs outside the home. I heard them first hand in a mobile home park recreation hall. They easily filled the whole room.

Bruce,

I've had them for home use for a couple of months. I agree, for the money you can't beat them.
The only reason I hesistate using them for small gigs is because they were not designed to be transported constantly and I'm not sure they would hold up. But I do believe the sound would be adequate to fill a small room.

I have been using them for three months Bruce and cannot praise them too highly for the money..For venues up to about 60 people they are adequate on their own and for larger venues I use them as monitors taking the feed from the headphone socket on the Tyros and the main amplifier from the back sockets. The only problem I have found was that a couple of times while moving them the front screen came off and the speakers
fell on the floor but no damage was sustained and a spot of superglue soon cured that little problem.

Hope that helps.

For home use I find the bass very dominant, even just playing the piano sound with the bass adjustment turned right down (Exound made the same comment in use with his Korg Pa1X).

Otherwise, the clarity of sounds is excellent, I can hear far more going on than with my Yamaha speakers that were originally supplied with my Pa1X.

Bruce if you don't mind the bass is very dominant buy those speakerset, they sound excellent.

Maybe someone knows how to temper those bass? Do spikes do the job??
Or put something in those basswoofer?

Are they suitable for the KN7000?
