Hi all

Just curious about your opinion on both keyboards. I am thinking of buying one for my friend's daughter (seven years old who just started playing for a few months and is showing good signs) for her birthday next year. Both keyboards are within my budget of course (without breaking the bank account). I like the 76 keys and it's going to be a step up from her current keyboard (which is the PSR 292).

I haven't played the DGX yet, but I will go to the nearest GC probably sometime this week. I tried the WK before and I thought the sound was pretty good, but I just wanted to know your comments. I don't really need the bells and whistles, just good sounds, speakers and touch sensitivity.

Hi Fan,
Basically, the DGX-203 is very much like the PSR 292 except the 76 keys. There might be also differences in the number of sweet-cool-live voices but I dunno.

For a good touch sensitivity I'd recommend the DGX-305 with semi-lighted keys (I play this model) but it costs a few $ more.
The semi-weighted keys make a significant difference when compared to the ordinary PSR keys.

Semi-weighted? Those keys never felt semi-weighted to me. I've always thought they felt like a typical PSR, but just box style keys instead with a very short throw to bottom out (again common in the PSR line).

Hmmm...thanks for the reply. I don't want to get her something similar to what she already has. I'm not impressed with the sound from PSR 292, but I'll know more once I get the chance to test them out myself sometime soon.
