WOW ... what a surprise when I started listening to "Silver Bells" ...
How about some details on the recording, like who/what instruments used/how recorded, etc.
thnx,
t. Hi Tony,
I am glad you enjoyed the recordings. Every year for the past 5 years a female vocalist named Laura Langland who sings in another band here in Cincinnati has hired my band
Impact to record a Christmas CD with her.
The instrumentation is pretty basic; guitar, bass guitar, drums, trumpet, sax and me on keyboards. All of the acoustic piano and Rhodes you hear is coming from the Promega 3. The organ is a very old Hammond B3 and Leslie 122, and all other keyboard sounds are from the Genesys Pro.
We recorded at a local studio that has a 32 track Tascam digital recording system. We recorded the rhythm tracks live and then overdubbed the horn and vocal parts.
If I get a chance I will try to convert and post a few more cuts from these CD.
Best Regards,
Dave
