I have just bought s/h a roland A30 controller keyboard (and Solton K8 bass pedals and H stand). This is being linked to my KN6 in an organ type setup.

The dealer (well known in UK) has not included a manual with it. I have sent an email request to roland hoping they have one.

But in the meantime...does anyone know inparticularly how to change midi channel number ie: which buttons to press and in what order?

1. push patch button
2. push midi/param button
3. you'll notice that the buttons are grouped
in sets of fours,each button numbered the lower numbers are midi channel 1-0
4. select the channel choice 1 thru 9 then enter.
5. to select 10 thru 16 repeat steps 1 thru 3. then (for example channel 13) push
1then 3 then enter.

ps. if you turn off the unit it will default
back to upper=ch1 lower=ch2

Thanks 'Wrinkles' I have now got a photocopy of the manual from Roland Support (sent f.o.c) - nice people there.

After all that I am returning the keyboard having lost 20%.
