my computer has this virus: "Bloodhound.W32.EP" and my AntiVirus: Norton 2002, can't delete it! it`s very earitating, does any one know some web site or something so that it will delete this virus off my computer, I ran System recovery on my computer many times and it still can`t help it. -thanks in advance...
A utility like cyberscrub would be able to obliterate it if you can find out where the bug is hanging out. You can get it for 15 days free: http://www.cyberscrub.com/

One other thing--be certain you have the latest definitions for Norton. If not, then the virus you have may have already been identified, named and have a removal tool available at Symantic (Norton). DonM
The reason Norton may not be able to delete is because it may be IN USE. If this is the case, find the location of the offending file, open a command prompt, position yourself to that directory and rename the file. The delete the renamed file.

The reason Norton can't delete it is that, although it identified it as having virus characteristics, it is new and hasn't been studied in order to provide definitions and repairs for it. That's why it is identified as "Bloodhound". They ask that you report it to them so they can address it. DonM

I gave up using Norton a year ago when I was introduced to AVG which in Uk is free. As I remember during my attachment to Norton, they could not zap ANY of the virus which they discovered in my mail, but they advised transfer to the 'Quarantine' log. I always did this and then 'deleted it from there. cheers Eddie J
I guess not, I`m not realy knowledgebale about computers... When I go to Symentac Norton web Site, how do I find the removal tool? I downloaded Cyber Scrub program(I actualy see this icons apraering in C:/Windows/System32 folder i delete them but they come there again, I wiped them with Cyber Scrub, I hope that it helps) what is System Shut down, that comes up is it the virus or is it program protecting me from virus? Is there any other place on the computer where the virus might be? so that I can Delete it with Cyber Scrub. Some times the internet doesn`t connect, or when connects is very very slow, and sometimes jumps to another web sites that i don`t know anything about, is ot the affect of virus? Thanks ALOT for your help all of you!

If you update your virus definitions, as suggested a couple of times already, then most likely Norton will find and eliminate the bugs. If you haven't paid for Norton you can't do it, so remove it and use AVG. It's free and every bit as good as Norton, if not better. Go to AVG website and download the free version. DonM

Same here, I have used AVG with McAfee for more than 2 years[McAfee for over 6 years]..This year's renewal gave me less for the money than in the past[they dropped the Optimizer within the package]...So I dropped McAfee and just use AVG without any problems , and my computers are much faster..Go with AVG, they are on top of things...
