Hi folks, I wonder if there´s a way we can set the sustain pedal on the psr2100 to hold the notes as long as we keep it pressed. With the korg pa-80 I can do that, but with the psr2100 when I hold the strings for instance, it doesn´t hold for too long. Is there a way to sustain the strings indefinitely if you keep the sustain pedal down?

At least in psr2000 it holds some XG-voices if not all XG-voices by setting sustain pedal just to sustain.

The problem is in the sounds, not the controller. Yamaha has decided for us, which sounds we can sustain. (C'mon guys!!!)It's true that most (if not all) XG sounds will sustain, but to be fair - most of the XG sounds are dreadful compared to the panel voices. Catch 22? maybe.
Are there XG voices hidden in the Tyros somewhere? It may be a psuedo-workaround for layers if I can find some voices that sustain through.

Accessiong XG and GM voices on Tyros:

1) Press a 'VOICE' category button.

EXAMPLE: [PIANO].

2) Press the '8' [v] toggle button to go up one folder level.

3) Press the '2' [^] toggle button to display the second page of VOICE Categories.

4) Press the [H] button, to the right of the screen, to select 'GM&XG'.

5) Use the [A] - [J] buttons to select a desired GM or XG Voice Category.

6) Use the [A] - [J] buttons to select a desired GM or XG Voice.
