This is a quick, rough recording of the song

This is a folk song many people like it(including me), i always wanted to play this song on my arranger keybord live, but this song has meter changes mostly 3/4 and few times 5/4...
How can I play this Live on arranger, with auto-accompaniment ??

Hi,
I would imagine the only way you could play it in live arranger mode would be to make a style & use software like OMB ( plays styles with multiple time signatures) or if you own a psr, it might be worth checking out Jorgen's Style Time Editor, http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/stytime/
haven't actually tried it as I'm an OMB user.

best wishes

thanks alot rikkisbears,
the Arranger keyboard that i own is Roland VA-76, (there's also a yamaha DGX around the house that my brother plays),
I think i gonna take a style, Waltz, erase Variation, and copy Original to variation but add 2 beats to 3/4 and make it 5/4, I'll see how easy it will be to play...

I think you will have to do it by using registrations. I Used to play songs like "Suspicious Minds", which had a change in tempo, in this manner.

yeah... playing that kind of songs live with auto-accompaniment is really tough... even on the tool(arranger keyboard) that is made for that purpose.

So Don, how did you set the Tempo? I use Blues Pattern for the slow part, and set it half of the fast pattern, always wonder is there a better way to do it?......Btw, since you played both G70, and SD1 in the past, are they alike at all?

It's the same kind of deal you have to do with the Isley's Brother's SHOUT. Totally different tempo and style in the middle. Registrations make it easy.

Or how about Tony Bennett's version of RAGS TO RICHES. It goes from swing to latin at the bridge. (I prefer Manilow's arrangement..and I think today's dancers do to.)
