Very nicely done, Rory.

Clever idea.

Cory: A pleasure to listen to on many levels. Well done. Great example of what is possible with sequenced and live performance. I think you could find yourself doing much the same on what is coming next in arrangers. The live quality of your sounds adds a lot. Not reproduceable today on a T2/G70/E80/PA1x/PA800 etct. I'm guessing that the Audya or whatever is next from R,K,Y will approach the realism you have accomplished.

Again, very well done.

Hey Robert,
I appreciate the comments about the realism of the sound. I was/am curious to get people's opinions on that matter in particular. Does it sound live, or like 1 guy overdubbing all the parts? Does the piano or drums sound close to the real thing? I did my best to play authentically on all the keyboard parts, and to choose samples that didn't sound too synthey and would mix well with each other.

Rory, first of all, congratulations for your arrangement!
Now, to answer your question, I think that the rhytm part sounds very authentic; the only thing missing are some fills here and there, but that's not a big problem. The second thing I loved was your piano solo (nice reference to "Eleanor Rigby", btw), while the third thing was of course your sax solo. Speaking of the sax, I think that it has a different reverberation compared with the piano and the percussions and sounds like it's in another room; this is the only element that could make one think to a prerecorded sequence. Other than that, the "live" feel is really astonishing and I could swear that I am listening to real musicians playing at the same time.
Once again, congratulations for your talent as a multi-instrumentalist!
