"Sorry, the forums are presently closed for maintenance.
Please check back again later."..........

I know a number of us also watch the SVPWorld Forum.
Does anyone know what has happened to it?
Since yesterday, the above notice has appeared on its site, that's at least 24 hours.
I wonder if it's to do with the recent hoohah about "copyright" and Mids?

Eddie,

As you may be aware from recent discussions at the forum, all copyrighted material is to be removed i.e. performances of copyrighted songs in midifile form. This task is proving a lot more time consuming that first anticipated so it is likely the forum will be offline for some days yet. There are also other changes to the forum software needed, plus the entire SVPworld website is undergoing a code cleanup (basically to improve loading speed, navigation and display compatibility). Sorry for the inconvenience, but hope to get things back up as soon as possible!

Regards
Simon

Hi Simon,
thanks for your update.
As you can imagine, there must be quite a few devotees of your forum who are equally fearing that something has gone seriously wrong and we would hate that to happen.
Is it possible to put up a notice on the site to allay all possible fears?

At least we would know that all is not gloom and doom.
We look forward to the swift return of SVPWorld Forum and in the meantime we can soothe our DT's!!!
After all, we still have our equally cherished Synthzone!
cheers
Eddie
