Tom, I'm very interested in the new PSR2000. We've already gotten some information on this new machine, but one thing not clear is exactly how user styles will be handled. In the old 540/640/740 line, there was room for only 3 user styles -- very limiting. How many user styles will be loadable in the new system? The new system also seems to have adapted the 9000 OS, at least in part -- I understand there is not a disk drive option. But the 9000 OS allowed users to store some styles in flash memory. Will this option also be available on the new 1000/2000 keyboards? If it is, there won't be as much of a need to have a lot of "user style" slots available. Finally, the early notes indicate that the 2000 will be able to show lyrics in the display, as well as the melody. How is it going to do this? What does the user have to do to get the lyrics and melody into the machine? I purchased a 540 in January and recently tried out the 550. Although it looked the same, the voices and styles were significantly improved. I am confident the sounds and styles in the new 1000/2000 series will be super. And, for one half to one third the price of the 9000 Pro, this beauty sure looks like an excellent bet for my upgrade needs! We will all look forward to your report!
