I had another go at the pa1x for an hour today. Great machine but it must have the worst touch screen because alot of times i had to touch the screen two or three times...very irratating. The g70 and va series had far better touch screens. Its not user friendly enough. Aside from that it is a great sounding keyboard up there with tyros1. Korg please improve the touch screen . This is the 2nd pa1x ive played that has this problem. Do pa1x owners have this problem?

I think you can calibrate the touch screen.

yes the PA1X can be calibrated to your own particular touch. I also thought that this would be a problem until I discovered the calibration.

The PAx1 is just simpluy an awesome keyboard.Had mine about 4 months now and am still amazed by its depth and tonality

A Tip given to me by a Korg demonstrator was to use the back of your finger so the finger nail touches the screen.
NOTE use the back of your nail not the sharp edge.

Ok thats good to hear cos the sales guy at the music shop told me "oh they are all like that" .glad he was wrong. I loved the strings pianos and that lovely harmonica...a blues harmonica i think. I also noted that the fill ins blended in well. The sliders are a nice touch for quick adjustment when playing live..g70 also has this if i remember. I spent most of the time playing with the slow waltz styles..and strings and flute..it sounded really beautiful and inspiring. I also played the new triton tr for a few minutes..some of the tr sounds like guitars and pianos sounded better than the le but still not as good as the pa1x. Those internal speakers sound like a top class hifi...no wonder its so heavy. Oh and it was on special for $3333 ..have no idea if thats a good price lol

Unfortunately, most of the sales people, especially at non-independant mucis stores, know little or nothing about the products they sell. This is just one more glaring example of why serious players should shop at stores where employees know what they're selling.

one of the best methods for using the touch screen, is to get one of those pencils with the eraser at the opposite end, the soft rubber makes an excellent touch device.

You also need to know that with one of the operating system updates, I'm not sure which, there was a major improvement for the touch screen. It actually gave you more area to touch and make things happen where in the early system you had to be right at a particular spot on the screen to make it work.
