Hello

I went to the main G-70 site in Europe and was unable to find the E-80 ROM styles for download. Can somebody please send me if you don't mind. I would really appreciate it. Maybe somebody knows another source on the web? Thanks!
Brian

Roland asked the G-70 User Club administration to remove the E-80 ROM styles from the website's download section. And Roland have hunted down anyone putting the style files up for download...

However, at the G-70 user Club website you can find a guide on how to download the styles. Enjoy!

Please don't expect E80 styles to work perfectly in an E50/60, though. You will need to do quite a bit of work re-mapping the styles for sounds and drumkits that don't exist in your E50. Not to mention the 3 extra MFX effects sections, and a host of parameters that don't exist on the lower models (obviously!).

There is a little anecdotal evidence that perhaps there may be a little incompatibility between the two, at least on a few styles. We don't know yet whether this is just due to 'operator error' or whether there are elements of the style data that cause strange results in the E50. The Danish G70 site has more information, and might help you get a grip on this.

In the meantime, you might inquire of MidiSpot (who develop some of the E80 styles) whether E50/60 versions might become available......

thanks for the headup Diki. It seems to be working pretty good. The reverb was another issue. It's all good.
