Gig Disk #11 will soon be available at www.psrtutorial.com Lots of variety in this one--about 30 styles/songs.

Cheers,

Gary

Thanks, Gary

Those gig disks are very helpful. Style selections are good.

Gig disks are essentially third-party style files that have been renamed with specific song titles that fit that particular style. Keep in mind that there are thousands of third party style files with the same name. I probably have at least two dozen Big Band Fast stiles, and none of them sound the same. They use different voices, different tempos, different fills, etc. Some fit well with certain songs, while they would be awful for others. This led to the creation of Gig Disks, which allow a person to select a style that is well suited for that song. You'll find a detailed explanation at the Gig Disk link at the PSR Tutorial website. Download the files, load them in your keyboard and you'll find it difficult not to play the listed songs.

Cheers,

Gary

Hi Gary;

I just checked out your new GIG disk and I feel its your best yet.
The styles are lively and have a nice feel to them. Your voices in the OST's are superb.
I am going to have a lot of fun with this disk.
Many thanks and much appreciated.

Alex

Hi Gary,

Thanks for #11.

Question on your Music Finder Database.
Are custom Music Finder Database's interchangable between PSR/Tyros Keyboards?

Also, nice to see Alex back.

Larry,

While the MFDs are not directly interchangable, I believe you can run them through Michael Bedesem's latest version of Music Finder View and convert them from one machine to another. I don't know this for sure because I have a pair of 3000s, but I believe this may be the case with his latest program update.

Pose,

You'll have a lot of fun with these. Sorry I havn't called in a while, but between the gigs and sailing my time has been pretty tight. Talk to you soon.

Cheers,

Gary

Hi Larry;

Hope all is well at home.

I have never left this forum. I just keep a low,low, profile. Gary at times brings me out of it. He has helped so many people on this forum and also on other forums with no fanfare.
A special guy.

Alex
