#17002 - 12/29/98 07:02 AM Poly800 - How do I LOAD?

I have just gotten a Poly 800 (ps-800), and naturally there were no batteries in it. It makes no sound at all. I assume this is because I need to 'load' them va the tape interface.
I have two or three versions of the .wav file to load from. I have fragments of instructions gleaned from various forum postings, web pages etc. (see, I *am* trying to do this myself!). None of the directions are complete enough to make it load sucessfully.
Could someone PLEASE provide me with exact, step-by-step directions on how to do this? I am trying to call Korg and purchase a manual (if possible), but it will take some time to get here. I have a very short time in which to return this unit if it doesn't work, and I have no way of knowing unless I can get it to load!

Thanks lots,
Irish

OK, I got it, finally. There are detailed instructions at www.KidNepro.com; these folks sell patches, and have detailed instructions on how to load them on their site (naturally they work for the factory patches too).

Also tried a shortcut that worked - instead of using a tape deck (I don't have one), I plugged the Tape In on the Korg to the Line Out on my soundcard, then just played the .wav file until it took (fooling with a software mixer to get the level right).

Thanks, and Good Luck All,
Irish
