Picked up a PSR-3000 on the play now, pay later plan! (May have to take up an offering on here next Oct. since interest rates after the year's free offer is 29+%!)
What do you recommend for additional styles/voices/midi song libraries, etc. that are downloadable or available otherwise? I know that Yamaha Music Soft lists a number available. Are there any freebies out there? My preference in music includes old favorites, hymns, gospel songs, older country, etc. I'm certain there is lots of potential with this instrument... any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks, Dnj...

Another question someone may be able to help me with... I have a Klipsch woofer and two satellite speakers. It has a stereo 1/8" jack. I added a stereo 1/4" plug to adapt it to fit the PSR-3000 output.
However, even when I use the L-L/R side, I still only get the base woofer and one satellite. Has anyone else experimented with this or had any trouble in adding speakers of this nature?

The 3000s L/R output is not a true stereo output. It is a composite output, therefore, it uses a TS 1/4-inch output--not the TSR required to get stereo.

In order to get the stereo output you must use both the left and right outputs--two separate 1/4-inch jacks. You can do this easily by purchasing an inexpensive effects (in/out) cable at the local music store. At one end of the split cable there is a 1/4-inch male stereo jack. At the ends of the two cables coming from the sterio jack there are two mono 1/4-inch male plugs. You'll also need an adapter to go from 1/8-inch stereo male to 1/4-inch stereo female. Then everything will work just fine.

Hi Mike,

It works, but the headphone out often has an impedience mismatch, which can cause a high-pitched hissing sound, and sometimes a 60hz humm.
