Hello AJ,
I just wanted to ask what is being implemented in OS 3.0, and roughly when it will be released. I really hope they will be adding loop recording to the pattern edit and the sequencer, and also having different time signatures withing the same style.

Right now I have trouble figuring out how to work Sd1 with Cakewalk Pro 9.
Cakewalk is not recognizing sd1 sounds properly. Maybe I should do some adjustments in the cakewalk, anyways could you Aj or someone who is using sd1 with cakewalk9 for sequencing songs help me here.

Thanks in advance.

Sev01,

The new OS3.0 for the SD1 will be released within the next couple of weeks. There are some modifications to the arranger component with some new features especially for the PATTERN EDITOR. Unfortunately, I do not use the SD1 with cakewalk - but I can suggest that when using the SD1 with any external unit/software, you may want to use the GM voices rather than the PRESETS (since these may not neccessarily be in GM format).
Hope this helps,
AJ

Sev01,
You need a patch/instrument file for your SD1.
These *.ins files are in fact mostly user made.
Your best bet is on the solton mailing list.

I hav'nt been there for a while and don't use a sd1, so lost the link, but I am sure most solton users here are on this list, so can provide the list adress.

allright:
found the homepage of the list!

Sev01,

When using any sequencer software with SD1, you should only use User & Program voices to avoid the overlaying problem with Preset voices. The Preset voices have multiple voices and they defaults to MIDI channels 11,12, 13,14. Make sure you have GM Mode turned on under the MIDI menu.
