In many ways Franz Joseph Haydn, the quintessential composer of the period of eighteenth century Enlightenment, is the father of modern music. The forms that he brought to their first perfection are at the center of all ensuing musical thought: the symphony, string quartet, and piano sonata.

Here is a piece by Franz Joseph Haydn titled: "Trumpet Concerto in Eb". All the sounds, i.e. Piano and Trumpet, are from my Yamaha Tyros Keyboard, albeit I am not the one playing this beautiful piece. Enjoy!

Trumpet Concerto in Bb

Best regards,
Mike

PS: The reason I am posting this piece is simply for your enjoyment and that you might hear for yourself the Sweet! Trumpet on the Tyros in a Classical music setting. Btw, I am using the Tyros' Live! Grand Piano for the Piano part.

Nice trumpet sound. Only sounded "cheezy" in a couple of spots.
Personally I play horns using a Yamaha WX5 wind midi controller and a Yamaha VL70m, but what ever gets ya there!

Kaboom,

Are you trained in Trumpet or are you a keyboard player playing the wind controller?

I was wondering how easy it is for a keyboard player to learn the wind controller to make authentic wind instrument sounds.

Actually I'm a trained sax player. Alas that gets a bit old after a while.. so I went with the wind midi controller. The trick is, if you play a trumpet sound like a sax, it won't sound right, so you've still got to make it sound like a trumpet...
They do make a breath controller for keyboardists... The reviews are still mixed. With practice a person can be pretty convincing with a keyboard and a breath controller.

Being a trumpet player from origin, I have some reservations.
This solo sounds realy good, for a keyboard.
It will always extremely hard to mimic a true trumpet player (or any other instrument). There are things you can do on the real thing that a keyboard just doesnt mimic right. For example in this piece, all the stacatto pieces sound steril, and are only done in a single stacatto where a real player would use a double.
Still impressive, for a keyboard
