The first Friday of Jan, Feb, and March I play at the Mesa Lakes Lodge. Last month Jan on Saturday morning it was 8 below. I hardly got my car started.

They feed me Prime Rib, give me a log cabin to spend the night and make up the kitty to the tune of $150. I do have to haul the gear up to somewhere in the neighbor-hood of ten to twelve thousand feet. The Grand Mesa is the largest flat top mountain on earth they say.

Gary's helped me out a bunch before I thought maybe he could come over to Colorado this weekend and give me a hand to get my car started.

Boo,

It's only 25 degrees here, which is 50 degrees colder than this old man likes. You're on your own this time old friend.

Good Luck,

Gary

Boo,

I would help you but it is winter here in Michigan also so we have our own problems. I think Don is available and he's always been very helpful to me. I'd give him a call.

One of these days I'll get those serial numbers from my dad's saxes for you.

Tom

Boo,
Send me a round trip plane ticket, and I'm there! Say hello to Penny for me.

I found out yesterday that the owner died last Monday. I spoke with his son this morning. He said they cancelled everything. They are going to sell or close up.

The wife and I have gone to this place since we moved here in 1977. It's had at least 3 or four owners during this time.

It's a large cabin restaurant with 15 or twenty cabins in the wooded area surrounding it for rent. The restaurant burned down on these owners about 3 or so years ago. I went up from time to time and watched them rebuild. It's been back in operation for maybe a year and a half.

I'm sure someone will buy the place. It has at least 5 or so different lakes within walking distant of the restaurant. It's up in the aspen and spruce tree area. This place is gorgeous. I think the land is owned by the BLM and is leased.

These kind of tragic events seem to be par for the course for me for the past year.
