Hey folks,
My GC here in Austin does not have a Tyros on display or have one available. They also do not carry the psr1000 psr2000 or will carry the psr2100. It doesn't carry the B300 speakers I'm ordering from 123... So I've never actual heard them I'm going from price and reviews... Do any have the same problem?? There is another music store here in Austin that carries similar stuff but you want to talk mark up!

If they have nothing you want to buy..What are you going to return? I just purchased something from GC, that I didn't need, last night[JV1010], sometimes I just get bored and need something new to play around with..My wife thinks this is better than a new woman..

All I want is to try the out before I buy. I usually buy mics and stuff from GC. But would like to hear the tyros in action.

Anyway, my actual thought was you'd think GC would carry Tyros and PSR2000... These are hot items.

My Local Guitar Center had on display a PA-80, MZ-2000, and about a half dozen low end Yamaha, and Casio keyboards. Luckily I have a Sam Ash near me so I plan on going there next week to check out what they have.

I am a former employee of GC . I can honestly say that the keyboard buyers at GC have no interest in PSR2100 or Tyro's .
The only stores that will have them will be Hollywood and Atlanta . Remember , they are buying thousands of keyboard's at a time .

The PSR series is way down on the list .

And the La Mesa CA. GC has the Tyros too. It's the third busiest in the Nation. Hollywood is #1 and I'm assuming that Atlanta is #2 in the Nation. It all depends on the Market beachbum. If your area is an Arranger Hot Spot (which apparently it is not) your local GC would carry more Arranger Keyboards. What you could do though is have your local GC order you a Tyros from one of their stores that have it in stock. It usually takes "7" business days or less to receive it. Buy it, take it home and give it a good work out to see if it meets your expectations. If it does, great. If not, GC has a 30 day money back guarantee. Return it within 30 days for a full refund if your not satisfied.

PS: You may want to wait "7" short days to see what shows up at Summer NAMM. You may find something at catches your interest and that will tickle your fancy enough to forego the Tyros altogether. Just a suggestion of course. If you have your mind set on a Tyros then go for it! I don't think you will be disappointed. Remember it was named the Arranger Keyboard of the year for 2003. To receive that accolade you gotta be good, right? At least in the Judges eyes it was!

Best regards,
Mike

Sacramento Ca. carries the Tyros too. and FWIW, Music 123 and Musicians Friend both offer a money back guarantee. 123 is 45 days...or was maybe they're 30 now.

As far as I can tell there are two "Yamaha" dealers in Tucson. Neither carries or knows anything about the high end Yamaha boards. So far I've found 2 other Tyros players in Arizona. It doesn't say much for Yamaha marketing does it? Their marketing is as bad as their support. It would be nice to have someone to share ideas with but both players are in Phoenix.
