Is it correct to say that the midjay is a SD-1 with no keys and a advance wave/mp3 playing system?

Would it be possible to control the midjay and use it as a arranger system?

1- MJ has many of the great SD-1 features but not all........Yes all arranger functions on the MJ can be used with a controller KB or any other MIDI featured KB with ease.

2- Excellent WAV, MP3, SMF,SFX, player plus recorder also.

To my knowledge, the midjay has no load while play(ing) ability or function. That made my decision a few years ago not to purchase this current model.

Donny,

Does it allow you to freeze a part when switching variations?

Tim I dont recall seeing the loking features like the sd-1 .....but here is the specs list and review..Remember that is is a multi faceted module ......if you want mostly arrangr playing features ONL:Y vs using SMF, WAV, MP3, SFX, etc the Midjay is not fopr you .....but if you want to do it all it has more then enough great stuff packed inside.....to do so many things including digital recording too on the fly & mix all features together in the mix at the same time !!
Loading is a breeze with drag & drop USB from your PC the MJ shows up as another drive ...
Im learning info just like you at this time.

Just wait for the 2 new products Ketron are working on.
Not naming sources there would seem to be a keyboard based on the Midjay, no idea what features it would have and there is also something else in the pipeline, maybe the Tyros 2 killing machine with 76 notes please lol.
I'm sure Ketron will announce these very soon and if they are anything as good as the SD1 they'll be worth waiting for.
