Large color touchscreens ? Thousands of sounds ? Expansion slots ? The end of the stiffy drive ? CD Writer built in ? Sound quality finally equal to the real instruments ? Built in Studio quality recording ? Wot do u think or expect in the near future from Roland,Yamaha,Korg,Ketron,Gem etc

Whats the difference. It won't make anyone sound any better unless you increase your playing skills thru practicing and experience. It's the "Musician" that makes the Music sound great not technology of the keyboard. I know so many people who tell me they have the latest and greatest KB's....but lack the talent to play them proficiently, because they were lured into buying them on "FEATURES" alone by some salesman who just cares about $MONEY$ and you get stuck with a unit you'll never learn in a Thousand years, it's sad. A good mucian can make an EMINEE Organ sound good ....
if you get my drift?

Thats so true...I've actually experienced what you are saying...kinda...A little story...

I've owned a Roland E500 that I play at home.I really wasn't happy with it. My friend who is a musician was set to play at a show on the beachfront infront of a crowd of about 5000 people. He uses a G1000 but his keyboard hadn't been working at the last minute. He used my E500 and oh God I cant believe what he did but I was amazed at how good it suddenly sounded. I had it for 2 years and never thought it could sound that good. lol the 5000+ ppl really enjoyed it. I guess he's a professional one man band and he plays more chords than me and i dont know how to use more than 2 fingers when i'm playing.....Ur comment reminded of this lol...

Are there any sites on the net where i can learn more about chords. ? I only know how to play C F G Amin, Dmin and Emin.

Sure, just go to http://psrtutorial.com . Right at the top of the home page you will see a series of quick links. One is to "Chord Secrets". That link will take you to a whole series of weekly lessons on chords and chord progressions. By the time you finish the first 19 lessons, you'll know more chords than most people in the world! I've just started posting the next batch of 20 lessons which will deal with chord progressions.

While you may not have visited this site since it is focused on the Yamaha psr2000, it includes a lot of useful features for any keyboad player. For example, you will find a listing of all the available US fakebooks as well as an available comprehensive index, by song title, that shows what books that song can be found in.

dnj,
How true. Just listen to the fellow playing a cheap Casio on the home network channel. Amazing. That is why I am giving up on playing around with styles. I have to continue to sight read and learn until one day I quit boring myself.
