Today, I went Kayes music and saw the new Korg PA 800 and overall I think the keyboard was awesome, but since I own Yamaha Tyros 2 I just want to compare the two keyboards. George at Kayes Music he was very helpful in comparing them. Since I use lots of custom styles and sounds, the new PA 800 will be lots of work. As far as the new keyboard goes, it is very user-friendly with realistic sound in live performance, but at the end I can say Tyros 2 works better for me because I'm a Yamaha person!!
P.S. Thanks to George Kaye for his time and effort.
i have a question: compared with pa80 (50), how is the menu, the OS generally speaking in pa800? let's say 5 (from 1 to 10) for pa80 for easy navigation and user-friendly os. how would you rate pa800?

Thanks for the Review. I too own the T2, but I also own the Korg Triton Extreme and I just learned the PA800 can read the Korg TE PCG files. These files are actually sound patches that map to the oscillators so all my favorite sounds on the Triton Ex can be imported into the PA800. That's pretty cool thinking on Korg's part.

George, Thanks for coming into my store yesterday. I enjoyed our talk and I appreciate and respect your opinions both as a musician and as someone having a lot of knowledge concerning arranger keyboards and all they can do. Come bye more often! Can you elaborate on this ...lots of work in what way....? difficult OS? or time consuming homework conversion from T2? Arte the styles on par with the T2? Etc...

To answer adimatis question, it's a (7).
To- kbrkr yes, if you're gonna import sounds & styles it is gonna be very cool, but since my last korg keyboard was I-30, it's not going to work for me. It's just going to be lot's of work.
To answer Dnj, no the OS in korg is awesome; I always loved korg OS. It is very user-frendly but since my last keybord was PSR 9000 pro it was just easier to transfer my styles & sampled sounds.
For Yamaha just sample the psr A1000 sounds for Tyros 2 lot's of musicians don't buy Tyros because there is no oriental sound, and they can't sample it. Just look at what Korg did, they said they will do it and they did.
