Can you be more specific on the styles ur looking for...some Oriental and Israeli styles are very much alike (those that come from the eastern arab countries) but then are Israeli styles that are closer to the western styles.

What type of music do u play? what type of audience?

We have many thousands of FREE styles available in Yamaha PSR .sty format at our Yamaha PSR Styles Group:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/yamaha-psr-styles/

There are many hundreds of Arabic, Turkish, etc. styles that can be used for playing middle eastern music. There are almost no styles that are specifically "Israeli" and only a very very few Klezmer styles. All these will play in your 9000 now.

If you can get the external styles for any of the "Oriental" synths (i.e., Yamaha has an "Oriental" version of the PSR-1000 that has Middle Eastern styles built-in) send them to me and I'll get them converted for you (and the rest of our group).

I agree with Mosiqaar when it comes to finding matching styles for Israeli music. I have been trying to find styles for International Folk Dancing music and find that for some of the Israeli dance music I use western (a 2-4 type beat) or ballad (for the slower dances). Some of the ethnic styles seem to work too.
Good luck in your search.

Thanks for your reply Mosiqaar.
I work sometimes with an israeli band , but in UK. They play older traditional jewish songs, for weddings etc. I am just hoping to find some authentic rhythms for my 9000 to use with the band.
One of the other UK ''Jewish'' bands uses a Roland Ori3ntal machine, which sounds quite good on the rhythms. If I can get hold of his style files, can I convert them to Yamaha.??

I Can CONVERT both the Roland (Cadebusy "One of the other UK ''Jewish'' bands uses a Roland Ori3ntal machine, which sounds quite good on the rhythms. If I can get hold of his style files, can I convert them to Yamaha.??" as well as Mosiquaar's X-1 Oriental Styles to Yamaha PSR Format. Send them to me for conversion:
